Pharell and Marley Universal onslaught?!?!

The English summer signifies the start of the live music season and is synonymous with festivals. Festivals have traditionally been seen as attracting a largely indie crowd boasting some of the biggest alternative acts but with far less attention being played to the more urban acts. And quite frankly, the thought of slumming it in dire sh*t ole’s seem as appealing as spending five days underwater in an acrylic sphere!!

But ‘Boy Better Know’, this image of ‘the festival’ has been changing slowly but surely and now as with everything else, urban artists are breaking down the barriers. No more so then universal recording artists Pharell Williams and Damian Marley who are set to appear in a total of four live gigs this summer. These are just two of a bunch of urban acts that are getting in on the traditional festival spirit and with Glastonbury taking a break this year we’d thought that we’d take a look at some of the ones you could be interested in:
